Meet the Teachers

Conscious Movement is a dynamic practice of free-form, intuitive dance that awakens your aliveness, clarity, expression and connection.  We are rooted in the Azul Embodiment Map (see more below) as the foundation of our conscious movement practice.

Classes are appropriate for all levels of movement experience. Participants generally leave class feeling more grounded, alive, clear-minded, with a sense of inner connection and peace.

Lisa and Katherine are certified Azul Teachers with many years of experience in their own conscious movement practices. They bring clarity, safety, freedom, openheartedness and joy to the dance floor . . . along with some great music!

Lisa Galinski

I am a certified Azul Conscious Movement teacher, somatic coach, systemic coach and HR professional who creates loving and authentic movement spaces to support you to connect with your heart and body's wisdom.

I am a doula for the emergence of your soul's purpose in your life.  I invite you to explore and express your true nature through movement. In this way, dance strengthens our ability to show up as our whole, unique selves as we heal ourselves and the world.

Born and raised in Connecticut, I started practicing conscious dance 2010 in New York City, and has never stopped dancing through many life changes and challenges.

As a certified Azul Conscious Movement teacher, my classes focus on embodiment and offering a deeper experience of the human body, and guidance that helps release blocks to who you truly are.   I bring my smile, leadership, passion and open heart to the dance floor.

Visit www.LisaGalinski.com for more about me and the work I do on the dance floor, as well as leadership coaching with individuals and groups/teams!

Katherine Allen

I am a Certified Azul Conscious Movement facilitator, supporting you to get in touch with your truest self.

I have been on a journey of self-discovery for decades, traveling across India and Nepal on countless pilgrimages, to finally realize that Conscious Movement is the direct path to awakening love and remembering our inherent body wisdom that I have been seeking.

I aspire to lead in love, honoring our innate capacity for healing and transformation. Personal choice, expression and intuition is centered in our practice of deep listening through our body in motion.

I started leading women’s circles in 2015 and producing conscious dance gatherings and expressive arts workshops in 2018.

I am thrilled to collaborate to co-create empowering experiences through dance, ritual, and community building.

About the Azul Embodiment Map

Azul Conscious Movement is an embodiment practice and a path of personal transformation through movement.

Azul is rooted in a map that supports each of us to awaken consciousness by working with the intelligence of the body and the heart through embodying the spiral map.

Embodiment through movement is so potent because it helps us purify and integrate all of our life experiences by releasing blocks and stuck energy that hold us back from experiencing (and knowing) our true essence.  Love is our true essence: living in the flow of life, fully expressing our gifts and talents, experiencing the richness that life has to offer us.

Through our movement practice, we recognize that as we transform ourselves we create the conditions for our world to transform.

Visit www.PathofAzul.com to learn more about Azul Conscious Movement.

CT Conscious Movement classes are based on components of the Azul embodiment map, guided by the teacher and set to a soundscape of curated world music so that you have support and inspiration for your journey into your body.

You are invited to follow the truth of your body on any given day, and move in ways that feel good to your body and honor yourself.  You are always at choice in a CT Conscious Movement class to do what works best for you.

No prior dancing experience is needed. Try out a class to learn more! Every body is welcome.  Newcomers welcome.
